Noise annoys 1
Be aware of the noise coming from your apartment at all times. This is especially true if you live above another person. Shoes and hardwood floors are not a good combination. Try and remove shoes as you enter your apartment and switch to more soft footwear such as slippers or socks. Also be aware of what activities you do and when. Vacuuming at 3am? Not such a good idea. Exercise machines can also create a fair amount of noise and vibrations which travel all too easily through walls and floors. Children can also be a large source of noise within your apartment. Whilst they may be the joy of your life, they may become the bane of your neighbours’. Try to practice ‘quiet time’ rules with your children, keeping running and shouting within the apartment to a minimum, especially after hours. Finally, televisions and radios. Does it really need saying? Just remember when you are enjoying that thumping bass, so are all your neighbours. Maybe it’s time to invest in some high-quality headphones to perform your own silent raves!
