Seven splashbacks – ideas to replace your tired old tiles

Large stone tile splashback

If there was ever a perfect name for something, splashback is it. It’s that area behind your stove, sink, or washbasin that gets splashed and needs regular cleaning to keep the grout in between the tiles from going grotty, as well as the tiles losing their sheen.

It’s one of the few areas in an apartment which you can change and  get a lot of bang for your buck. And every time you cook or clean, you’ll feel pleased at making the effort.

Here are some fabulous ideas you can copy, or to get you thinking of something even more original.
